Outstanding!

THANK YOU for your emails and your personal calls to district leaders

When the OSTA Board discovered all our emails had been going to the spam folders of every district in the state and rarely ever got to the school community, our membership sprang into action. We printed out the forms and placed them into staff rooms, we called our district leaders, school secretaries, and emailed everyone we knew would successfully receive our email. Working the solution together, we received a whopping 75 nominations from all over the state! 

At OSTA we think every substitute deserves recognition.  Each year we have the privilege to recognize one outstanding substitute teacher to represent all of the hard working substitutes and the outstanding contributions that they make to Oregon schools. 

NEXT STEPS…

Attend the upcoming April 23rd board meeting, and continue positively impacting the morale of substitutes by committing to join the Substitute Teacher of the Year committee. Join OSTA and receive the Zoom link, and when Sally Sue speaks, raise your virtual or real hand, or tell us in the chat --"Count me in! I know I can help!"
